Why Luna?
Luna Wellness was founded to make HPV easier to understand, talk about, and prevent.
We believe stigma and silence should never stand between people and the information they need. Luna provides evidence-based education about HPV, vaccination, screening, HPV-related cancers, and prevention for individuals, families, healthcare professionals, and public health communities.
Our work began with a particular focus on anal health and anal cancer prevention—an often-overlooked area of health surrounded by discomfort, stigma, and misinformation. We continue to shine a light on anal cancer prevention and the importance of early detection while expanding HPV education to encompass the full spectrum of HPV-related disease.
Where Luna Began
Luna was born from a commitment to improving awareness and access to anal cancer prevention, including anal cancer screening, high-resolution anoscopy (HRA), and treatment of anal precancers.
That experience continues to inform Luna’s educational work today.
Our goal is not simply to provide information, but to make conversations about HPV and the body more open, informed, and free from shame.
Why “Luna”?
Luna means “moon” in Spanish—a symbol of light, illumination, and discovery.
Luna Wellness was named in that spirit: bringing light to the parts of health that are too often left in the dark.
